Valentine Gift Ideas

Hey boy, very much in love but afraid of proposing a girl. Dont be. I know its difficult and somewhere you have to start, otherwise you will lose your love.

Above all, know your girl very well. Find out about her likes/dislikes, interests etc…this will help you in planning. Let me give you some tips, i hope they help:

–> If she is shy and not very much social, propose when you two are alone

–> If she is sporty and loves adventure, then propose her at the top of some mountain

–> Get a big bouquet of flowers and tell her how much you love her and wants to spend your entire life with her

–> Girls love to be pampered so when you intend to propose, make sure you are chivalrous enough to make her feel special and at the same time not look vulnerable. Women want a strong man, not a wimp

Remember, Don’t force her to say yes. The worst you can do is to push her around and threaten her dignity. Tell her to take her time and that you shall wait. Be a gentleman and respect her. Incase she doesn’t want a relationship, she will let you know of it then and there.

If the relationship is new, then old mantra works: stuffed toys and/ chocolates with a nice card (i would prefer handmade card) with some pics of your first date etc… 

If you are already dating: Pink signifies elegance, gentility and poetic romance

If you are about to start: Yellow signifies friendship, familiar love and domestic happiness

If you are very much in love, then nothing beats Red which signifies love and passion

You could also COMBINE the roses, signifying the person means all three to you.

Men…Ummmm

I’ve been challenged to write atleast 10 things I like about men (without invoking the license to dream), without drinking, and without repeating myself. Ha I say to the challenge. Here goes:

1. I truly like the way men love little boys (NO, I do not mean like MJ). I just admire how they try to teach little boys tricks like how to turn cartwheels, how to hold a cricket bat, how to deal with rejection from girls…Its actually quite endearing.

2. I admire how men will not try and analyze every action, word, and gesture to death. If a woman shrugs her shoulder when the man says “So baby waddya think of em jeans eh?” the man will think “Oh great..Woo hoo..she wants me!!” Imagine what would happen if the sexes in this situation were reversed. Since I don’t want to repeat myself, you can read the results here. Bottomline, men are definitely less stressed out than women and enjoy life more than we do. Why they die more of heart disease than women is a multi-million dollar research industry. Perhaps all those years of not telling us whether the turquoise silk looks better or the mauve chiffon finally catch up with them?

If you have been together for years now, then you must have sent him/her emails/letters/messages/SMSs as expressions to your love. Why not relive those moments once again? Take a print out of all the love letters and bind it in the form of a book. Gift it to your sweetheart and show that love is not just about the present but also about the moments gone by…

Love is an expression of truest feelings. But most of people are not so open about it. Why be shy this valentine day? This year, make her feel that she is the one who defines your life. You may not be good at writing or singing romantic lines yourself.  

So dedicate a song on the radio for him, and as he drives for work your voice will follow him.
